A WORD FROM THE MANAGER |
In the year 2010 we could see that even if labeled as the crisis breakers (financial times dtd june 23. 2010) in 2009, Europacific is not imune to the tendencies of the market, as well as the current crisis that we live in.
In 2010 we increased the paid up capital of Europacific, optimized processes, minimised costs, and have focused on our core business and as such have disinvested our portfolio of all capital investments in co.s that don't focus n our core business.
2010 has proven to be a year of ''make it or break it'' and as such we are now more focused on our initial goals, on our core business and we are more agresive on the markets that we wish to capitalise on.
Our operations are orientated towards our customers, i.e. the partners to which we wish to provide comprehensive logistics solutions for their business. This year, the strategy based on customers' needs has enabled us to accomplish internal reorganisation and diversification to the areas of our long-term interest, which will be the basis for our present and future business growth. Such a path has required large financial investments and the assumption of additional risks.
All our activities are supported by a group of young, highly educated and trained individuals with a long »mileage« in their respective fields. Holding a university degree is the minimum condition for working in our company. A great share of our revenue is channelled to the development of our own specialised logistics applications supporting our operational and strategic orientation.
In the course of our operations we are highly aware of important cultural differences between us and our global business partners. One of the important advantages that we offer to our best partners from Asia is 24/7 availability and responsiveness. We are continuously updating our business model which, regardless of our smallness, makes us an important partner of significantly larger customers as well.
In the last year we have designed a flow chart of processes for our company that underlines our intended strategy based on the model of the blue ocean. In all areas of our operations we make use of management tools and instruments such as 7S, BPM, TQM, BSC, CRM, EVA, KRAFT, TRUST, ensuring effective execution and accomplishment of strategic goals. The latter are outlined in our strategic document SpVr – Strategic plan for sustainable growth with implementation goals.
Our strategy and our support organisation have ensured continued growth of our revenues during recent years in a sustainable and controlled manner.
We only choose the smartest customers and suppliers in the business world, building solid relationships with them based on mutual trust. Our partners mainly include companies following a similar business philosophy, with which we solve challenges and learn from each other. Our operations with global service providers are orientated towards Asia, where we have the longest tradition amongst all Slovenian companies as well as rich personal connections.
The main drivers of our success are the knowledge of all our employees and the strategy derived from the wishes of our customers. With our mission, co-building of trends in logistics solutions, we wish to meet the wishes of our partners even better. Our vision is to become the leading provider of knowledge-based logistics solutions in the region.
We will achieve all our goals and the goals of our partners only with common sense, development and continuous investment.
